The Eastern Conference Finals finally has an elimination game after five games. The Pacers must win to force a Game 7 in Miami or the Heat will eliminate them for the second straight season. Check the NBA odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Heat (3-2) improved to 9-0 in the last 143 days against the spread after losing the game before. But more importantly for them, they won Game 5 at home and now will be able to close this out in Indiana in six games. LeBron James led the Heat in every major category as he guided his squad to an eleven point victory. James had 30 points, 16 in the third quarter, eight rebounds and six assists. His 16 points in the third outscored the Pacers’ 14-point quarter just after halftime. Udonis Haslem was the second big scorer with 16 points on 8-9 shooting, making up for Dwyane Wade, who managed to score just 10 points on 3-8 shooting.
The Pacers (2-3) are up against the wall now after getting beat up in Game 5. They had a halftime lead before being outscored 30-16 by the Heat in the third quarter. Paul George had 27 points, 11 rebounds and five assists but he and the rest of the Pacers were unable to guard LeBron James. George’s 11 rebounds led the team and made up for David West and Roy Hibbert, who only combined for 14 boards.
The Heat are 8-6 against the spread in the playoffs. The Pacers are now 11-6 ATS.
I believe this is just a formality in Indiana. Now that the Heat smell blood, I believe this thing is over in six. LeBron is just too strong when he is in attack mode and you would have to think he would be in it during a close-out, elimination game. Heat win and cover with sportsbook betting.
