This could have been one of the best regular season games in the modern era if Miami’s streak was still alive. But it was ended at 27 in Chicago and now this is just a game featuring the best two teams in the whole NBA. Get NBA odds at Top Bet sportsbook.
The Heat (57-15) look to extend this new streak of theirs to two games. After losing in Chicago, Miami destroyed the New Orleans Hornets on Friday, thanks to an enormous performance from LeBron James. James finished with 36 points and all them came in the first three quarters. The Heat’s well documented 27 game winning streak was the second longest in NBA history, only the 1971-72 Lakers strung more wins in a row together (33), and made people think that this seemingly untouchable record could actually be broken. LeBron and company have basically assured a 1-seed in the Eastern Conference and are now cruising to the finish line.
The Spurs (55-17) would have been a huge obstacle standing in Miami’s way when it comes to extending the streak, but sadly we weren’t able to watch that. Instead, San Antonio still has work to do to make sure they have the top seed in the Western Conference, sitting two games ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Spurs are two games behind the Heat in the hunt for the best record in all of the NBA. SA is 7-3 in their last 10 games.
The Heat are 38-34 against the spread this season and 28-28 after wins. The Spurs are 37-33-2 ATS and 18-16-2 when playing at home.
I can really see the Heat coming out and putting a beat down on San Antonio but the Spurs are 32-4 at home, while the Heat are 25-12 on the road. The Spurs are playing with injuries and needed a huge performance from Tim Duncan to beat the Clippers at home. I am picking Miami, in a close one to take the Heat Click Here.
