The Reds come off a double-header with the Phillies to take on the Marlins who travel to Cincinnati from Miami. Find NBA odds at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Marlins (3-12) have had a disastrous start the season. They have just won three games; all three came against National League East foes, the Mets, Phillies and the Nationals. They have been swept twice and the other three series have been lost as well. Placido Polanco, of all people, leads the Marlins at the plate, hitting just .313 in 13 games. From there, the next best hitter drops all the way to .262 with Greg Dobbs. Dobbs also is a co-leader for the Marlins for the most home runs so far. That breath-taking stat happens to be just one home run. Jose Fernandez will be making his third start of the season and he is 0-0 through two starts.
The Reds (8-7) are having a much better start than the Marlins are. Cincinnati is coming off a three game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies at home and that broke a five game losing streak. The Reds started 5-2 before losing five straight to the Cardinals and the Pirates. Brandon Phillips is leading the Reds in batting average, hits, home runs and RBI’s. Tony Cingrani will start for the Reds. He has appeared in three games.
The Marlins are 6-9 against the run-line thus far. The Reds are just 6-9 ATS as well.
The Reds are the safe pick. Miami has been pretty bad this season so far and the Reds have a nice lineup led by Phillips but first read about online sportsbooks.
