The Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates continue their series tonight from Pittsburgh. All odds for all games can be found at Bovada sportsbook.
It seems that Milwaukee has gotten on a big time roll at the time most teams want to get hot heading in to the postseason. The bad part of this equation is the Brewers struggled for the majority of the season and it might be too late to make a run at the playoffs. The Brew Crew added another to the win column Tuesday with a 4-0 victory over Pittsburgh to give them eight wins in eleven contests with the bats and arms getting on the same page. Milwaukee sends Marco Estrada to the mound for game number two of the series. Estrada has thrown the ball well over his past five starts in whic he has gone 3-1 with a no decision with zero runs given up in the wins.
Pittsburgh has seen their postseason hopes slowly slipping away for several weeks with Tuesday’s defeat adding to the frustration. The Pirates have dropped nine of eleven and have fallen in to fourth in the National League Central. In this stretch, the Pirates offense has noticeably slowed which we saw once again on Tuesday. AJ Burnett kept his team alive with two runs allowed over six innings before three relievers gave up four runs. Rookie Kyle McPherson makes his first career start after seven relif appearances. Through eleven innings, McPherson has struck out eleven and issued just two bases on balls and has generally limited base runners.
The Brewers have a lot going for them as they enter tonight. Give us Milwaukee as a moneyline favorite at best sportsbooks online.
