The Milwaukee Brewers and Washington Nationals square off tonight in Washington. Kyle Lohse and Ross Detwiler are the scheduled starters. Check the MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The road Brewers enter in last place in the NL Central and have lost six of their last ten games. Kyle Lohse enters with a 3-6 record, 3.63 ERA and 1.21 WHIP. In his last road start against Pittsburgh on June 30th, he only last 1 2/3 after experiencing pain in his upper arm. We can only assume he is 100 percent or near to it or he would not be on the mound tonight. His last win came June 25th where he lasted seven innings, gave up eight hits and three earned runs while striking out three. He has won his last two starts but lost his previous three. The Brewers are on a skid as they have lost their last six games and are 13-26 on the road this season.
The Nationals enter in second place in the NL East behind the Braves. With Bryce Harper back the Nationals now have their spark at the top of the order. Detwiler comes in with a 2-6 record, 4.13 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. Detwiler received a no decision in his last start in New York where he tossed five innings giving up six hits and two earned runs while striking out four. He has not won a game since May 10th against Chicago.
I’ll grab the Nationals in this ball game. Bryce Harper has given them a boost and they are a great home team at the sports book.
