The Bucks will take on the Knicks in Madison Square Garden with the hopes of ending New York’s 10 game winning streak. Get NBA odds at Bovada sportsbook.
Milwaukee (36-38) has not officially clinched the eight seed in the Eastern Conference but it is all but wrapped up. They lead the Philadelphia 76ers by six games with just eight games left. It will be a monumental collapse paired with an uncharacteristic surge from Philadelphia that would keep the Bucks out of the playoffs. Milwaukee could very well be the only team in the playoffs with a below .500 record and they have just won four games out of their last 10 and five of their last seven. The lone two wins in those last seven games came against the worst team in the league, the Charlotte Bobcats, and the LA Lakers. The Bucks have not been great on the road this season with a 16-19 record.
The Knicks (48-26) are the newest team to start streaking. New York has now won 10 games in a row, the last two coming in a back-to-back situation. In those last two games, Carmelo Anthony has put up 90 points combined. He scorched the depleted Heat for 50 points and then the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday for another 40. Because of this streak, the Knicks now hold sole possession of second place in the Eastern Conference, a half game ahead of the Indiana Pacers.
The Bucks are 33-41 against the spread and 19-16 when playing on the road. The Knicks are 40-32-2 ATS and 21-16 ATS in Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks will win this game at home to push the streak to 11. They have been playing at a level that they haven’t reached many times this season with Raymond Felton and J.R. Smith really picking up the scoring in addition to their star, Carmelo so take NY at sports books.
