The Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians will meet tonight in game two of their weekend series in Boston tonight. The current odds for this game can be found at Just Bet sportsbook.
The Red Sox have struggled this season and they lost game one of this series to continue their poor play. The offense was led by Dustin Pedroia who hit a home run and Adrian Gonzalez who had two hits and scored twice, but as a whole the Sox were only able to mount three runs in the loss. Josh Beckett took the loss as he was roughed up to the tune of 7 runs in what was his 4th loss of the season. Boston will turn to Clay Buchholz to try and stop the bleeding tonight. Thus far though Buchholz has certainly not met expectations on the mound as he is pitching to a 9.09 ERA in 32.2 innings thus far this season.
The Indians on the other hand are feeling good about themselves as they sit on top of the AL Central. Their offense was led on Thursday night by Jack Hannahan and Jason Kipnis who each homered. Derrick Lowe was solid in his return to Boston as he was able to scatter 2 runs over six innings and earn his fifth win of the season. The Indians will start Ubaldo Jiminez tonight as he looks to return to the form the Indians hoped they were going to get when they traded for him.
Boston is 1-8 in their last nine games as a favorite, 8-21 in their last 29 home games, and 6-2 in Buchholz’s last eight home starts. Cleveland is 6-1 in their last seven games against a right handed tarter, 10-3 in their last 13 road games, and 2-6 in Jimenez’s last eight starts as an underdog. Cleveland is 6-12 in their last 18 games in Boston.
This game is a real tough call because of the fact that both pitchers can either throw a gem or completely implode which is why we will go with the better team which is as of right now the Cleveland Indians at best online sportsbooks.
