The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Los Angeles Angels in the battle for L.A. starting tonight. MLB odds are available at BetOnline sportsbook.
The Angels got off to a rough start on the season, but seem to have things turned around now. They are coming off of a sweep of the Rockies and won the final game of the set yesterday 10-8. Overall, they have won 7 of 11 games. The offense is the big different in the enlightenment of the team and they helped Ervin Santana in a big way yesterday. The Angels totaled 15 hits in all yesterday including two 3-run home runs by Mike Trumbo. Garrett Richards will get the start tonight for the Angels in game one. This is only Richards’ second start this season as he defeated the Mariners in his first start.
The Dodgers seem to have righted the ship after struggling very briefly in the month of May. They too have won 7 of their last 11 and are coming off an impressive win vs. the Mariners yesterday by a score of 8-2. Chad Billingsley had a great start only allowing 1 run in 7 innings of work. An Andre Ethier grand slam led the offense and was the biggest of the team’s 11 hits. Chris Capuano will start for the Dodgers and the lefty is having a great season posting a 8-2 record with a sub 3.00 ERA as well.
With both teams peaking this should be a fun series to watch. Tonight’s pitching matchup definitely leans towards the Dodgers so we will take the Dodgers with a moneyline bet as an average home favorite at best sportsbooks online.
