The Colorado Rockies will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in game two of their weekend series from Coors Field. All MLB odds can be found at BetOnline sportsbook.
The Rockies are still in last place in the division, but have showed signs of turning it around as of late as they have won 5 games in a row. The Rockies exploded on Friday for 13 runs on 15 hits in the win and hit 3 home runs as a team in the victory. Juan Nicasio gets the start this afternoon for the Rockies. Nicasio has not won in his past 5 starts and is not having the best season as a result. He is pitching to a 5.11 ERA and has let up 68 hits in 56 innings of work.
The Dodgers have come back to the pack of the NL West as their lead in the division in down to 4 games over the Giants. They lost their 5th game in a row last night vs. the Rockies as they amassed 10 hits, but those hits only amounted to three runs. The Dodgers will counter with Aaron Harang on the mound to try and get back on track. The righty lost his last outing and has been average so far this season posting a 4.14 ERA in 58 innings of work.
Colorado is 5-0 in their last five home games, 5-2 in their last seven games against a right handed starter, and 1-4 in Nicasio’s last five starts. Los Angeles is 4-1 in their last five game two of a series, 17-8 in their last 25 games against the N.L. West, and 4-1 in Harang’s last five starts against the N.L. West. Los Angeles is 1-5 in their last six games in Colorado.
We like the way Colorado is playing as a whole, but do not have much confidence in Nicasio at the moment. Not that Harang is great, but we like the Dodgers getting + odds on the money line here this afternoon so before wagering read a sports book review.
