The Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Mets will continue their interleague series on Wednesday. All odds and trends for all games can be found by visiting Bovada sportsbook.
The Rays have been one of the best teams in baseball all season but slipped into second place in the division with a loss to the Mets on Tuesday. The Rays totaled only nine hits and scored just twice in a loss to the upstart Mets. Alex Cobb struggled on the mound in route to his third loss of the season. Tonight the rays will give the ball to stud left-handed pitcher David Price. He has only allowed 69 hits in 78 innings of work which leads to him posting a dominant 2.40 ERA.
The Mets continue to surprise baseball and are right in the thick of the playoff race. On Tuesday they were led on the mound by Chris Young who notched his first victory of the season and then an offense that burst for 11 runs on 14 hits in all. Tonight they will send RA Dickey to the mound who has not lost in nine starts. He is 9-1 on the season and has only allowed 65 hits in 81 innings of work.
Tampa Bay is 4-1 in their last five games overall, 8-3 in their last 11 games against the N.L. East, and 6-1 in Price’s last seven starts as a favorite. New York is 2-5 in their last seven against the A.L. East, 1-5 in their last six games as a road underdog, and 7-0 in Dickey’s last seven starts.
This is looking like a pitchers duel to us and because of that we like the Under for total runs in the game so before wagering read a sports book review.
