The Washington Nationals will head to Canada to start a series with the Toronto Blue Jays at Skydome. MLB odds are posted at Bovada sportsbook.
The Nationals have hung tough and are still in first place after playing well this weekend in Boston and winning the game yesterday by a score of 4-3. They swept the Sox and have actually won 6 of 8 overall. Jordan Zimmerman had a quality start allowing 3 runs in 7 innings pitched while the offense did enough to scratch out a win. Edwin Jackson will start tonight for the visitors and the righty is riding a streak of 4 straight quality starts. In his last game he pitched 7 innings of 2-run ball vs. the Mets.
Toronto has been up and down all season and now is currently one of their down streaks of the season. They are coming off a win though vs. the Braves on Sunday which kept them from being swept. They are 4th in their AL East right now and they have been treading water in their last 10 playing .500 baseball. They got the offense they needed yesterday which was good for Ricky Romero who had a rare subpar outing. Brandon Morrow, who has been solid lately, will look to continue his personal hot streak tonight vs. the Nats.
We really like the way that Jackson and Morrow are pitching coming into this game. This should be a low scoring affair and we will go with the better team, who is the underdog in this one. Give us the Nats and a + moneyline in this one at the sports books.
