The Rockies and Dodgers will meet tonight for the second of a three game series in Colorado’s Coors Field. Up to date MLB odds can be found at Top Bet Sportsbook.
The Colorado Rockies took game one of the playoff series vs. the Dodgers on Monday. Carlos Gonzalez led the way with 2 RBI’s and two hits and Troy Tulowitzki also had a 2 RBI night as well. Juan Nicasio earned the win for the Rockies as he scattered nine hits over 6 innings and let up two earned runs. The win was his second on the season. In game 2 of the series the Rockies will start Jhoulys Chacin who is still in search of his first win of the season. Chacin has had good strikeout numbers, striking out 20 hitters in 20 innings, but unfortunately has let up 20 hits as well and is pitching to a 5.85 ERA.
The Dodgers had their chances on Monday, but came up a bit short in the end. Matt Kemp hit a home run to make it 11 for the month. James Loney also added a hit and scored a run as well. Aaron Harang took the loss for the Dodgers allowing 5 rund and allowing 6 hits in just over 5 innings of work. Ted Lilly starts tonight and looks to remain unbeaten as he is pitching to a 0.90 ERA this season.
Colorado is 5-9 in their last 14 games against a team with a winning road record, 1-9 in their last 10 home games against a left handed starter, and 1-4 in Chacin’s last four home starts. Los Angeles is 41-17 in their last 58 games overall, 20-9 against the N.L. West, and 5-1 in Lilly’s last six starts. Los Angeles is 4-1 in Lilly’s last five starts against the Rockies and the Rockies are 5-2 in Chacin’s last seven starts against the Dodgers.
The runs total is a little inflated in our mind because the game is at Coors Field. We like the under for total runs in this game but before betting check the sports odds.
