The Cleveland Indians and the New York Yankees will square off tonight in New York. All odds for all professional sports can be found at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
Cleveland is currently flip-flopping between first and second place in the division and now sitting second after a 7-1 loss to the Astros on Sunday. The main reason for the recent slide is a lack of offensive firepower. As was the case yesterday when starter Derek Lowe put in a good effort, but it was not enough to compensate for the lack of offense. Justin Masterson will face the Yankees tonight and has four quality starts in a row under his belt. He has only allowed one earned run in his last 16 innings and will look to stifle the Yankee bats tonight.
The Yankees are coming off a weekend series in which they beat the Mets two out of three games. The Yankees look poised to go on another one of those win streaks like they did when they ripped off 10 in a row recently. CC Sabathia pitched way better than numbers would indicate as he allowed only one earned run in 5+ innings of work last night. Tonight the Yankees will tape will start Hiroki Kuroda who is coming off of a subpar outing in his last game which was a loss to the Braves.
We really like the way Masterson has been throwing and love the fact that the Indians are such a big underdog. It’s tough picking against the Yankees at home, but take the chance here and take Cleveland as a serious moneyline underdog and hope Masterson can continue his great pitching so check sports odds.
