The Chicago White Sox host the Houston Astros for the final game of their interleague series. All MLB odds will be updated 24 hours a day at BetOnline sportsbook.
The White Sox have hit a little bit of a dry spell, but have actually held on to their lead in the AL Central. The bats were clicking yesterday as the White Sox belted 17 hits and scored 10 runs in the process which gave the pitching staff plenty to work with. On Sunday, Phillip Humber will start for the Sox and the righty has struggled since his perfect game way back in April winning just once since then. He is pitching to a 5.68 ERA for the season and has allowed more hits than innings pitched as well.
The Astros are improving as a ball club, but are probably a year or so away from competing. They only scratched out 6 hits yesterday and their pitching was pounded as well leading to a less than stellar day overall for Houston. Lucas Harrell will start against his former team today and he has been up and down this season as evident by his 4.70 ERA in 69 innings pitched.
Chicago is 16-5 in their last 21 games overall, 46-17 in their last 63 interleague games, and 1-6 in Humber’s last seven home starts. Houston is 23-49 in their last 72 interleague games, 16-51 in their last 67 road games, and 1-6 in Harrell’s last seven road starts. Houston is 4-2 in their last six games in Chicago.
We will go with another upset pick here as the Astros are huge underdogs when we feel the starting pitchers are somewhat equal but first check the sports odds.
