The Philadelphia Phillies take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in a series starting on Monday in Philly. All up to date odds for this game can be found at Just Bet sportsbook.
The Phillies have not found their consistency yet, but find themselves right in the thick of the NL East race. They sit 3.5 games back in the division despite only having a 13-15 home record this season. Their offense has been led by catcher Carlos Ruiz, but they have gotten little else from their regulars thus far. The pitching staff will get a boost tonight when Vance Worley makes his first start since coming off the DL. Before his injury Worley pitched to a 3.07 ERA in 44 innings of work.
The Dodgers have been struggling lately as indicative of their 3-7 mark in their last 10 games. With Matt Kemp on the shelf the Dodgers will have to lean on others in the lineup to pick up his production, which will not be easy. The pitching staff has been solid all season and will have to pick it up as well. Clayton Kershaw will start today for the Dodgers and the lefty has pitched well despite getting little or no run support in a lot of his stats this season. Kershaw has only allowed 55 hits in 74 innings pitched this season.
Philadelphia is 7-4 in their last 11 games overall, 2-6 in their last eight home games, and 9-3 in Worley’s last 12 starts. Los Angeles is 21-8 in their last 29 games against a team with a winning record, 1-6 in their last seven games overall, and 7-2 in Kershaw’s last nine starts as a road favorite. Los Angeles is 9-24 in the last 33 meetings of these two.
We really like the odds the Dodgers are getting here with Kershaw on the hill. Worley is a good pitcher, but who knows how deep into the game he will be able to pitch. Give us the Dodgers and a moneyline play in this one with sportsbook betting.
