The New York Mets will try and complete the road sweep against the Tampa Bay rays on Thursday afternoon. All odds and trends for all sports can be found at Just Bet sportsbook.
The Mets just keep on winning and keep on surprising everyone. They are a scrappy bunch that has taken the first two games from the Rays in large part due to a great balance of starting pitching and hitting. They have scored 20 runs in two games so far versus Tampa’s very good pitching staff. Yesterday however the story was pitcher RA Dickey who pitched a one-hit masterpiece. Tonight the Mets will send their other ace, Johan Santana, to the mound. He had a rough outing his last time out versus the Yankees, but his two outings previous to that were stellar. He will be looking to get back on his dominant track today.
The two losses to the Mets have been costly for the Rays in the standings. They have fell to second place in the standings as a result. They had an off game yesterday both with the bats and on the mound as David Price struggled. The Rays will pitch Jeremy Hellickson this afternoon and they will look to the dependable righty to at least get one win in the series.
We understand why the Mets are underdog, but given the way they’ve been playing we like them to close out this series, and definitely like them as an underdog on the moneyline with sportsbook betting.
