The Milwaukee Brewers will host the Chicago Cubs in game one of their weekend set tonight. All odds for all sports can be found by visiting Bovada sportsbook.
The Milwaukee Brewers have not played as well as they did last season thus far and it will not be to long before panic sets in for the fans. They are already 7 games back in the division and are just 7-8 at home this season. Ryan Braun is hitting over .300 once again to lead the offense, but as a whole they are hitting just .230 as a team. The pitching staff has been average at best this season and will turn to Randy Wolf to try and turn things around tonight as well. Wolf has really struggled so far this season however. He has allowed 47 hits in 32 innings pitched and has a 6.68 ERA to boot.
The Chicago Cubs were off to a horrendous start of the season, but have shown flashes of turning it around. They are 6-4 in the last 10, yet still sit in last place because of that rough start. The Cubs on offense have been led by youngsters Bryan LaHair and Starlin Castro both of whom are hitting well over .300. Their pitching staff is actually not as bad as you would think as they are collectively pitching to a 3.66 ERA thus far. Matt Garza will get the nod tonight and he has been the best pitcher for the Cubs. He has struck out 36 batters in 33 innings pitched and has a 2.67 ERA.
Milwaukee is 2-5 in their last seven games against a right handed starter, 1-4 in their last five games overall, and 5-1 in Wolf’s last six starts with five days of rest. Chicago is 5-1 in their last six games as a road favorite, 1-6 in their last seven games following a win, and 9-2 in Garza’s last 11 starts. Chicago is 0-8 in their last eight games in Milwaukee.
Do not be surprised to see the Cubs installed as the road favorite in this one. They are playing better ball right now and have their ace on the hill. This is why we will take the Cubs tonight and feel pretty confident doing so but before doing so pick up sportsbook promotion codes.
