The Texas Rangers travel to Oakland for game one of their AL West division series. All MLB odds can be found at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The A’s started the season off better than anyone had thought, but have recently come back to Earth in a big way. They are actually 1-9 in their last 10 games. A big part for their downfall has been their offensive production or lack thereof. They are only hitting .209 as a team which is incredibly bad. The A’s will start Jarrod Parker tonight who has not won in his first five starts despite pitching to a 2.88 ERA in 40 innings.
Although the Rangers have just been average the past couple of weeks, they are still one of the more potent teams in the league. They are 17-11 on the road this season and lead the AL West by 4.5 games as of today. In contrast, they are hitting .287 as a team and the Rangers pitching has been up to the task for the most part as well. Scott Feldman pitches tonight for the Rangers and in limited action he has a 4.50 ERA.
Oakland is 1-8 in their last nine games as an underdog, 1-4 in their last five home games against a right handed starter, and 0-4 in Parker’s last four starts. Texas is 41-17 in their last 48 against the A.L. West, 38-13 in game one of a series, and 1-4 in Feldman’s last five road starts. Texas is 13-3 in the last 16 meetings of these two.
With how lousy the A’s offense is we are actually excited to get the Rangers at such a good M/L price in this one so we will take it but before wager redeem sportsbook promotion codes.
