The Yankees will travel to Kansas City on Thursday night to begin a series with the Kansas City Royals. The Royals are coming off of a win against the Tigers last night. All MLB odds can be found at BetOnline sportsbook.
The Yankees will send David Phelps to the hill tonight in game one of the series. This will be Phelps’ first start of the season and he is pitching to a 3.57 ERA during the games he has appeared in relief. Phelps has had an up and down season out of the pen, but the Yankees are trusting him with the ball tonight against the Royals.
This is the first time that Kansas City will face David Phelps and they will counter with Danny Duffy who is 1-2 on the season despite pitching to a 3.63 ERA. Duffy actually has not been bad this year for the Royals, but he has struggled in the past against the Yankees and most notably Robinson Cano. Of note as well is the fact that the Royals are actually 0-10 at home this season. They will be looking for a win tonight which we would not be surprised if they did get.
We are not sure why, but we actually like the under in this one. With two pitchers who are not household names we feel that the totals on runs may be a bit inflated so we will buck the popular opinion and take the under so before doing this read sportsbook reviews.
