The Los Angeles Dodgers will travel to Seattle to take on the Mariners in an interleague series. Up to date odds for this game can be found at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Mariners have played very hard all season, but in a lot of games it looks as though they may be a bit outmatched. They are just 9-13 at home this season and do not have a regular hitting over .300. The Mariners pitching has been average and has kept them in some games. Veteran Kevin Millwood will get the nod tonight in the series opener. Millwood is pitching to a 3.90 ERA thus far on the season.
The Dodgers still to remain the course with the best record in the league despite Matt Kemp being sidelined. They have a 4 game lead in the NL West and are a solid 16-12 on the road this season. The Dodgers have had a good mix of pitching and offense lead them this season. They will send the winless Nathan Eovaldi to the hill tonight though. Eovaldi is winless in this two starts, but has only pitched 12 innings the entire season thus far.
Seattle is 1-5 in their last six games following a win, 0-4 in their last four home games, and 3-7 in Millwood’s last 10 starts. Los Angeles is 4-0 in their last four road games, 7-3 in their last 10 games as a road underdog, and 3-11 in their last 14 games against the A.L. West. Los Angeles is 3-8 in the last 11 meetings of these two.
We know that Millwood is better than Eovaldi. We also know that the Dodgers are the vastly superior team which is why we like their moneyline in this one as just a slight favorite at sportsbooks.
