These two clubs have met twice already this season. Dallas eliminated the Thunder last year in the Western conference finals in five games. In their first meeting it took a Kevin Durant buzzer beater to nip Dallas by two points in a game played at Oklahoma City. The rematch was held four days later with the Mavericks crushing OKC by a 100-87 score. Dallas played good defense that night limiting OKC to just 40.3% shooting. Dallas knows this Thunder team pretty well and in all honesty Oklahoma City really gets their offense from two players in Durant and Russell Westbrook. James Harden is usually the first man off the bench but he has been forced into a starting role as OKC must play without Thabo Sefolosha who is dealing with a foot injury and has been listed as doubtful for tonight. Note that the Thunder has suffered three losses on the campaign when Sefolosha was not in the lineup. So that throws off the Thunder rotation a bit and we saw this change impacted the team on the court as they were blown out by the LA Clippers 112-100 on Monday night. Dirk Nowitzki has come back for Dallas after he took time off for conditioning to strengthen his knee. The team has responded with two straight wins including a 122-99 road blowout of Phoenix on Monday night. The Mavericks may be a bit angered by Thunder coach Scott Brooks who said after the loss to the Clips on Sunday that the LA Clippers were a better team than the Dallas Mavericks. Without Sefolosha in the lineup for the Thunder the team will suffer on the defensive end of the court. Play Dallas to cover this extremely short number on their home court.
