The Miami Heat continues their tough 3-game road trip when they visit Derrick Rose and the Bulls Wednesday night in Chicago. They head to the windy city after losing last night at Orlando and will head to Philadelphia later this week to continue this tough stretch away from home. Out pick is playing under 191 points. The current odds come courtesy of Bovada sportsbook.
The Magic did need overtime to dispatch the Heat who received solid performances from the trio of Wade, Bosh, and James, but little else from the supporting cast. The bench only amassed 28 points while Lebron James led the way with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists and in doing so narrowly missed a triple double.
In Chicago’s last game point guard Derrick Rose absolutely dominated the Knicks on Monday night en route to a dominating win at home. Other than Rose who tallied 32 points in the contest, the Bulls’ effort was paced by Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer who both dominated inside to the tune of 27 points combined. Taj Gibson sparked off the bench with 15 points as well.
In the first meeting between these two teams back on January 29th the Heat employed a similar defensive strategy as they did in the playoffs last year vs. Chicago. Let Derrick Rose get his points, but limit the guys around him. While Rose scored 34 in the first meeting the next highest Bulls point scorer tallied just 11. This defensive strategy has the likelihood to be just as successful given the fact that Luol Deng will be out with an injury as he was in the first contest.
Where Deng is particularly missed vs. the Heat is he is really the only somewhat viable option that the Bulls have to defend LeBron James. Expect LeBron to at or close to his 30 plus points per game average that he has accumulated in his last three games against Chicago.
After a game where there defense is less than stellar as it was on Tuesday night the Heat are 4-0 ATS after allowing at least 100 points. The under is also 4-1-1 in Miami’s last six contests as well.
The Bulls on the other hand are 4-1 following an ATS loss. While the Heat have been playing to the under the Bulls are 4-0 vs. the over in the last 4 games.
Head-to-head the numbers do not lie as the Heat are 4-1in the last 5 meeting ATS vs. the Bulls and the under is 8-2 the last 10 times these two have met in the United Center. Prior to placing bet on the Heat and Bulls be sure to redeem your sportsbook promo codes.
