The Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat will play a pivotal Game 5 tonight in their Eastern Conference Semifinal series. All NBA odds can be found at Bovada sportsbook.
The Heat were led on Sunday by Dwayne Wade and LeBron James who scored 70 points combined in the victory. LeBron James in particular had one of the best all-around performances in recent playoff history when his team needed it the most. He was even able to snap Wade out of his funk with his stellar play. We will see tonight if that game was a turning point in turning around the fate of the Heat who struggled in the absence of Chris Bosh.
The Pacers had a good start to Game 4, but they were done in by the Miami duo and now find themselves in a tied series as they head back to Miami for Game 5. Danny Granger had a good game with 20 points, but as a whole they did not get the overall team effort we have come to expect from them.
The Heat are a solid 7-2-1 against the spread in their last ten home games, however Miami is just 2-4 against the spread in their last six home games against the Pacers. Indiana has won six of their last eight games heading into Tuesday’s showdown with the Heat, and the Pacers have played well on the road lately as Indiana is 8-1 overall in their last nine road games.
We think the Heat have adjusted enough to playing without Bosh and will have enough to beat the Pacers tonight and cover the spread as well at the sports book.
