The Miami Heat are looking to go up 2-0 in the series tonight as they host the New York Knicks tonight in game 2. All NBA playoff odds can be found by visiting Bovada sportsbook.
In game one the Heat got off to a blistering start as they dominated the Knicks in every way imaginable en route to a 100-67 final score. LeBron James was the star for the Heat scoring 32 points on 10 of 14 shooting and Dwayne Wade chipped in with 19. Erik Spoelstra was smart and sat his star players for a bulk of the fourth quarter while the game was well at hand. The Heat forced 27 Knicks turnovers and the Knicks shot a dreadful 35.7% from the field. The Heat were able to thwart Knicks star Carmelo Anthony who finished with 11 points, only hitting three field goals.
The Knicks were supposed to give the Heat a good game the other day, but needless to say that never really materialized. Carmelo Anthony was on fire coming into the playoffs, but he struggled to deliver the other day. Amar’e Stoudamire was also less than stellar as well with only 9 points. To make things worse, the Knicks lost rookie guard Iman Shumpert with a torn ACL who was carried off the court he was hurt so bad. Expect Landry Fields to enter the starting lineup as his replacement.
If you watched game one you had to be surprised at how non-competitive the Knicks were in that game. We just can’t see the Knicks turning on a switch and playing better to the point where they affect Miami’s ability to cover the spread. Give us Miami to cover the number at the sportsbook.
