The Los Angeles Lakers welcome back Kobe Bryant tonight as they face the San Antonio Spurs. All scores and odds of all NBA games can be found at Just Bet sportsbook.
The Lakers were riding a four game winning streak coming into last game, but they were beaten by the Spurs on Tuesday night by a score of 112-91. The Spurs blew the game open after a 18-0 run during the second quarter and the game was at hand by halftime. Tony Parker had a great game scoring 29 points and tallying 13 assists. Tim Duncan scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds as they handed the Lakers their biggest defeat of the season.
The Lakers were led by Andrew Bynum’s 21 points while Pau Gasol and Matt Barnes added 16 points a piece. The Bench was really the difference in the game as the Spurs bench outscored the Lakers bench by a score of 45-24.
Head to head, these teams have split two meetings this season, but the Lakers are 6-2 ATS in the last eight games in San Antonio.
It will be very interesting to see how Kobe fits back into the Lakers’ mould, because the Lakers’ offense looked surprisingly good without him, so he could drop back into his game of taking over 25 shots, or look to run a more Bynum-centric offense. Whatever he does, I think it will be at least a few games before the Lakers hit their stride, so I think the Spurs are catching them at an opportune time here. I’m not too excited about the spread, but I still think the Spurs are more deserving of the pick in this meeting sportsbook reviews.
