We come in with our Best Bet of the Day on Saturday as the Orlando Magic will be on the road to play the Indiana Pacers. These two NBA pro basketball clubs will begin from Indiana at 7PM Eastern Time and you can watch this game over NBA League Pass. The Best Bet of the day is playing on the Orlando Magic +5 ½ points against the Orlando Magic. The point spread in this NBA game comes courtesy of Bovada sportsbook.
The betting odds from the Magic and Pacers opened up in this NBA pro basketball contest with the Indiana Pacers favored by -5 ½ points with an over under of 185 ½ points. Early money came in on Indiana as the line moved up to -6 points but was bought back by the bettors to a current line of -5 ½ points. The total has moved up a full point in this NBA game to 186 ½ points. Money line players will lay -230 odds on Indiana and can receive +210 odds on the Orlando Magic team to win this game outright with the point spread no factor in the outcome of the wager.
The teams met at Indiana back on January 24th with the Magic blowing out the Pacers by a 102-83 margin as a +5 point underdog. This was a road back to back spot for Orlando as they come off the highly embarrassing 87-56 loss at Boston the night before. In the Magic win at Indiana they surged past the Pacers in the second half by outscoring them by a 57-38 margin. Ryan Anderson had a huge performance in this game with 24 points and 5 of 7 shooting from the three point line in the win. The Orlando defense held Indiana to just 39.7% shooting.
A lot is being made out of the travel spot for the Magic here. Orlando will be flying out the day of the game because there are no hotel rooms available at Indianapolis because of the Super Bowl on Sunday. I don’t believe that is a valid reason for the inflated point spread here. They do bring momentum into this game with two straight wins with an 8 point win last night against a greatly improved Cleveland Cavaliers team. For the year Orlando is still shooting well from beyond the arc at 38.7% shooting. Their defense is holding up well allowing teams just 91 points a game.
This is a very difficult scheduling spot here for the Pacers. They are playing their third game in four nights with airplane travel preceding each game during this stretch. Guard Paul George logged in over 41 minutes. Four of their five starters last night played 36 or more minutes last night. The Pacers bench didn’t contribute much with just 10 points in their win at Dallas last night. Another factor here is the Pacers three point shots were falling last night as the team converted on 12 of 25 last night. In a spot where you are playing four games in five nights the jump shots don’t often fall. Bet the Magic and Pacers from one of our recommended sportsbooks
