The #14 Nebraska Cornhuskers (9-2) take on the Iowa Hawkeyes (4-7), to close out their Big 10 regular season, Friday at 12:00 ET. College football odds are at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Cornhuskers have been riding high since their loss to Ohio St early last month. Their only losses on the season have been to Ohio St and UCLA. The UCLA loss looks better in retrospect. For the season, the Cornhuskers are 9-2 SU and 6-4-1 ATS. As good as they have looked; they are only 1-3 ATS on the road this year, again, with OSU and UCLA being two of those games.
Iowa is coming to the end of a rather disappointing season, having gone 4-7 SU and a woeful 3-8 ATS. They own a five game losing streak, and are only 2-4 SU and ATS at home, which includes nonconference losses to Iowa St and Central Michigan. In games against top opponents, they have been largely noncompetitive, with the lone exception a three point loss to Michigan St. This is made worse when considering that they missed Big 10 heavyweights like Ohio St and Wisconsin from their schedule.
Nebraska is a 16 ½ point road favorite, and while Iowa has looked bad, Nebraska hasn’t been known to clobber their opponents. Friday with be the exception, take Nebraska – 16 ½ at best online sportsbooks.
