The Gildan New Mexico Bowl pits Nevada (7-5) against Arizona (7-5) Saturday at 1:00 ET. College football odds are at Bovada sportsbook.
After starting 6-1, Nevada has lost four of its last five games. They are now sitting at 7-5 SU and 3-9 ATS. Last week’s cover (SU loss) against Boise St. snapped a string of seven straight losses against the spread. Nevada’s offense has done its part this year, consistently scoring over 30 points per year. However, their defense has been their Achilles’ heel, giving up over 30 points often this year.
Arizona has split their last four games, bringing their season mark to 7-5 SU and 6-6 ATS. Their offense has flourished this year under Rich Rodriguez, but against top teams they have faltered, namely getting shut out against Oregon and only scoring 10 against UCLA. They come into the game having scored 34 points in consecutive games, and 56 the game before that.
Arizona is a 9 point favorite. Nevada has firepower, but they have let lesser teams run all over them. Look for Arizona to score in bunches. Take Arizona -9 at online sportsbooks.
