The New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers play the second of their home and home series tonight from Philly. NBA odds are posted at Bovada sportsbook.
As surprising as it may be the Knicks are off to their best start in over a decade after winning their first two games of the young season. They defeated division rival Philadelphia 100 – 84 yesterday behind another strong effort from Carmelo Anthony. While Carmelo had 27 points the story in the first two games for the Knicks has been their defense which although early looks markedly better than it was last season.
The Sixers are off to a 1-1 start to the season after an impressive win on Wednesday at home and a disappointing loss yesterday at Madison Square Garden. Philly fans and the organization are still waiting to see their big trade acquisition Andrew Bynum in the fold. Bynum remains sidelined with a knee injury and has yet to wear his Sixers uniform.
We have to admit we are a little bit surprised at the line for this game. The Sixers are too much of a favorite in this game in our mind so we will take the Knicks as point spread underdogs on the road at the sports book.
