The Knicks inch towards a 2-seed in the Eastern Conference against the Atlanta Hawks who look to keep a top five spot in the East. Check out the NBA odds at Bovada sportsbook.
New York (47-26) did something on the road that the Spurs could not do on their home floor: beat the depleted Miami Heat. The Knicks took down the Heat who played without LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Mario Chalmers for the second straight game. Carmelo Anthony made sure that they were not going to lose that game as he matched his career high with a massive 50 points. Anthony had a terrific shooting night, 18-26 from the field, including 7-10 from three-point range. After the win, the Knicks have tied the Pacers for the second best record in the Eastern Conference with less than 10 games remaining on the schedule.
Atlanta (42-33) has slid under the radar so far this season. The Hawks are right in the thick of things for finishing in the top half of the Eastern Conference. Atlanta is fifth in the conference just a game behind the Brooklyn Nets, but only a game ahead of the Chicago Bulls. The Hawks are 24-13 on their home floor, as they get ready to host the Knicks. If the season ended right now, the Hawks would play the Nets in the first round of the playoffs.
NY is 38-32-2 against the spread this year and 17-16-2 ATS on the road. The Hawks are 35-38-2 ATS but 14-21-2 at home.
I like the Knicks again in this game. They have been playing well as of late, winning nine games in a row. Carmelo is healthy and playing at the top of his game right now. Knicks win another on the road at the sports book.
