The Knicks had a 3-0 lead in the series and now the Celtics have quickly gotten back into contention after two straight wins. The series now shifts back to Boston where the Celtics will try to force a Game 7. Get NBA playoff odds at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Knicks (3-2) have now lost the last two games and many are talking about how they should be panicking heading into Game 6 in Boston. Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith did not have great games and Smith started the game shooting 0-10 from the field. Anthony still finished with 22 points in 45 minutes but was only 8-24 from the field. Smith finished with 14 points and was 3-14 after that horrendous start. Raymond Felton scored 21 points and was 10-19 from the field and has been one of the most consistent players in this series.
The Celtics (2-3) have some proud, solid veterans in their locker room and are really showing some real fire in these last two games. Jeff Green scored 18 points, which led the Celtics in scoring and Kevin Garnett had 18 rebounds in such a gritty performance for the Celtics to force another home game.
Despite being down 3-2 in the series, the Celtics have covered the spread in three of the five games.
I think the Knicks will win. I just cannot see this series going to a seventh game and seeing the Knicks blow three straight close out games. It won’t happen. Knicks win on the road and end the Celtics’ season with sportsbook betting.
