The Knicks’ (51-26) streak has continued to rise. After their win at home over the Washington Wizards, the streak is now at 13. Carmelo Anthony has continued his own surge after dropping another 36 points on the Wizards in the 21-point win. Along with Anthony, J.R. Smith and the crew have been playing better than they have all season. Raymond Felton has been able to get to the hole whenever he wants and the role players are doing their job so ‘Melo can do his thing. The Knicks lead the Pacers by two and a half games now and are closing on the 2-seed for the Eastern Conference playoffs.
The Bulls (42-35) are trending the opposite way but have already clinched their playoff spot. However, they are still playing for seeding but are losing ground. They had a chance at the 4-seed but have now dropped three games behind the Brooklyn Nets and the Bulls are now tied with the Atlanta Hawks. If the Hawks pass them, Chicago will have to play the Pacers in the first round. The Bulls are 22-17 at home this season.
