The Knicks (38-25) are set to play their fourth out of five games out west on the road. They have struggled thus far on the road trip by losing all three of the games. New York has lost half of their last ten games and have definitely cooled off after their blistering start to the season. Carmelo Anthony has been having issues with his right knee. He injured the knee last week and then on the road trip he felt soreness and flew back to New York to have some fluid drained. New York needs to snap out of this funk that they are in as they are sitting in third in the East and sliding.
The Clippers (45-21) have passed Memphis back to take the third spot in the Western Conference again and are sitting five and a half games behind West-leading San Antonio. LA is coming off a loss against Memphis and has lost two of their last four games. The Clippers have not played since Wednesday so have had a nice time to prepare for the Knicks.
New York is 30-31-2 against the spread this season and 11-11-2 coming off a loss. Away from MSG, the Knicks are 13-16-2 ATS. The Clippers are 37-29 ATS and 9-11 after losses. At the Staples Center, LA is 20-13.
The Clippers are the pick for this matchup, as New York has looked absolutely awful in this stretch away from home. It is two teams in the top three in their respective conferences but are going in two different directions so take the Clippers at the sports book.
