The New York Mets and Atlanta Braves meet again tonight from Turner Field. All odds for all MLB games can be found at Bovada sportsbook.
The Mets have been playing well lately and look as though that will avoid finishing in last place in the division. Their current rise is in large part due to a stretch in which they have won seven of their last eight games. They beat the Braves 3-1 last night behind the strong pitching of Jonathan Niese who pitched great in seven innings of work. Tonight on the mound for the Mets will be Chris Young who makes his last start of the season. Young has been on an upswing himself lately as in his last four times out he is only allowed seven total runs.
Atlanta has already solidified a playoff berth, but are still technically trying to chase down the Nationals in the division. They did little to help themselves last night with their 3-1 loss to the Mets. They are a bit of a hot streak as well having won of 8 of 11 games as they head into the playoffs. Tonight they will start lefty Mike Minor who is coming off wins in his last two starts. Overall he has been great in his last 10 starts with only two non-quality outings during that stretch.
The Braves are still in pedal to the metal mode as there is definitely an incentive for them to at least try and win the division. With Minor pitching as good as he is we like Atlanta at home as a money line favorite at the sportsbook.
