The New York Mets travel to Milwaukee for a date with the Brewers tonight. Rookie Zach Wheeler and Johnny Hellweg will be on the mound tonight. MLB updated odds at located at Top Bet sportsbook.
The Mets are currently in fourth place in the NL East. They have won six of their last ten games and bring a 18-20 road record into tonight’s game. Zach Wheeler it looks like will not be the second coming of Matt Harvey. Or at least his three two starts suggest that. His last outing against the Nationals, he tossed 4 2/3 innings giving up six hits and five earned runs while striking out five. In his last appearance on the road against the White Sox he lasted 5 1/3 innings giving up four hits and four earned runs. Granted this is just the kid’s fourth start of the year, but it looks like he will need some adjusting in the league.
The Brewers enter in last place in the NL Central. They have won just three of their last ten games and are 19-23 at home this season. This will be Hellwig’s second major league start as the 6 foot 9 inch right-hander is making his first start at home. In his first two he has a 20.25 ERA as things clearly did not go as planned. In just 2 2/3 total innings this season, he has surrendered eight hits and nine earned runs while walking three.
This is really an up in the air game but take the road Mets since Hellweg has been terrible this year and to play New York Click Here.
