The Mets go to Philadelphia to take on the Phillies in a matchup of two teams from the National League East. Get MLB odds at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Mets (4-2) are coming off another win, a close one against the Marlins, despite giving up 13 hits and only getting six themselves. Scott Rice got the win for the Mets as Rice was the sixth pitcher to play for New York. Aaron Laffey started for the Mets but only made it through four and a third innings while giving up 10 hits and three hits. Daniel Murphy was 2 for 4 and drove in one run for the Mets 4-3 win. Marlon Byrd went 1 for 3 and drove in two runs. Matt Harvey will start for the Mets against the Phillies. Harvey is 1-0 this season and struck out 10 in his first start.
The Phillies (2-4) have not started the same way as the Mets. Philadelphia is coming off a loss to the Royals, 9-8. Cole Hamels pitched for the Phils but only made it five and two thirds innings and gave up nine hits and eight runs. This is the second start for Hamels this year and another poor one. Hamels is now 0-2 on the year. Roy Halladay will start for the Phils and he is 0-1 on the year thus far.
The Mets are 3-3 against the spread and the Phils are 1-5 ATS.
I think the Mets will beat the Phillies on their home field and even with Roy Halladay on the mound with sportsbook betting.
