The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox close out the regular season from the Bronx. All odds and trends for this game can be found at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
Boy this season has been a frustrating one for the Red Sox. That frustration continued on Tuesday night as it looked like they had the win sewn up against the Yankees only to blow a ninth-inning lead and lose the game in 12 innings. Jon Lester left the game with a dominant season ending performance, but in the end the bullpen could not hold the lead. In the last game of the season the Red Sox will pitch Daisuke Matsuzaka. Matsuzaka has really been struggling in his last four starts and has given up 20 runs over 13 innings in them.
The Yankees now control their own destiny and if they win today they will claim the American League East crown. They had a great come back win yesterday and the extra inning rally might have been their signature moment this regular season. Their bullpen was stellar yesterday and they will likely be needed today in an all hands on deck situation. However, the Yankees will send Hiroki Kuroda to the mound who has had a great season overall. Of note here is the fact that Kuroda’s numbers in day games are vastly superior to his nighttime performance.
We think on the heels and momentum of last night’s emotional when it will boost the Yankees and devastated the Red Sox. Being that’s the case will take the Yankees as a moneyline favorite in this game at the sportsbook.
