The Yankees look to continue the momentum they just earned heading into their game against the Indians. Get MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
New York (2-4) got back on track on Sunday when C.C. Sabathia pitched seven innings and gave up just four hits and no runs. Sabathia is coming off his poor start to begin the season when he was beat up by the Red Sox on Opening Day. Travis Hafner led the Yankees at the plate with two hits. Kevin Youkilis was phenomenal as well for the Yankees. Youkilis was 2 for 4 and also drove in two runs. Jayson Nix, the nine hitter for the Yankees, had three hits and drove in two runs himself. Along with that, Nix scored twice himself and hit a home run. Hiroki Kuroda, who also struggled in his first start this season, will start on Monday for the Yankees when they play the Indians in Cleveland.
The Indians (3-3) are finally going to get to play in their home stadium, as they have spent their first six games of the year on the road. They are coming off a 13-0 win over the Rays in Tampa. Justin Masterson pitched seven innings and gave up only two hits in his second win of the year. Ubaldo Jimenez will start for the Indians in their home opener.
Cleveland is 3-3 against the spread this season and the Yankees are 2-4 ATS.
I think the Indians will come home and get another win to start the year. The Yankees have not been up to par so far this season and the Indians will pull off the mini-upset at www.sportsbookroom.com.
