The Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers meet for game two of the division series from Detroit’s Comerica Park. All odds for all games can be found at Bovada sportsbook.
The Athletics won the American League West on the final day of the regular season, but fell short in game one of the ALDS dropping a 3-1 decision to Detroit. Their offense was pretty much nonexistent after leadoff homerun by Coco Crisp. The A’s will look to even the series before heading home behind the arm of lefty Tom Milone. He has faced Detroit twice so far this season and all has allowed 4 runs in 11 innings of work.
The Tigers came on late in the season and ended up winning the AL Central outlasting the White Sox and took that momentum into game one other serious last night. Their ace Justin Verlander pitched like one and allowed just three hits over seven innings of work. In game to the Tigers will turn to Doug Fister in order to secure them a 2-0 series lead. Fister has started one game versus the Athletics this season and in six innings of work allowed just one run in a Detroit win.
Oakland needs this game in the worst way and have been resilient all season. That and the factor that the pitching matchup is relatively even, we will take Oakland as a value moneyline pick on the road at the online sports books.
