The Oakland A’s and the Seattle Mariners will face-off Friday for a game in Oakland. You can find updated odds for all games at Bovada sportsbook.
The Athletics come into tonight’s game having proven they can play with anyone, but they just do not have the depth some nights to keep up. They’re 9.5 games in back in the AL West which is probably the best division in baseball outside of the AL East. The A’s pitching staff has been stellar carrying an offense that is dreadful at times. The Athletics will start Tom Milone who lost his last time out despite allowing just one run. He is pitching to impressive 3.73 ERA in 100 innings of work this season.
The Mariners are also in rebuild mode and are building for the future as well. There in 19 – 24 on the season and are in last place 16 games back in the AL West. They will look for a spark from starter Kevin Millwood tonight who has allowed 80 hits and 83 innings of work so far this season.
Oakland is 10-1 in their last 11 home games against a right handed starter, 2-5 in their last seven home games against a team with a losing record, and 5-1 in Milone’s last six home starts. Seattle is 4-1 in their last five games following a loss, 28-65 in their last 93 games against a left handed starter, and 2-5 in Millwood’s last seven road starts.
We’re a little confused as this line is not as high as we would think as far as a total goes. We will take the over and hope either offense can come through tonight so before placing a bet read a sports book review.
