The Rays come home after having to play extra innings in the series finale against the Baltimore Orioles. They will host the A’s, who have had a day off boast a very impressive record. Check the MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The A’s (12-4) have been pretty remarkable this season. They have won three games in a row now after sweeping the Houston Astros in Oakland. Before those wins, they lost two in a row to the Tigers and lost two in a row to begin the season against Felix Hernandez and the Seattle Mariners. In between those two sets of losses, Oakland won nine games in a row that included sweeps of the Houston Astros once again and the Los Angeles Angels. Jed Lowrie is hitting .373 this season and has drove in 13 runs thus far. Coco Crisp is also hitting over .330 and has four home runs. Brett Anderson will start on Friday for the A’s and Anderson is 1-2 after getting a little roughed up by the Tigers in his last appearance.
The Rays (5-10) have now lost eight of their last 10 games. They are coming off a three game series in Baltimore that resulted in two losses for the Rays, including a 10th inning loss that ended in a grand slam walk off shot for Matt Wieters. Alex Cobb will pitch for the Rays on Friday and is 1-1 this season.
The A’s are 11-5 against the spread and the Rays are 8-6 despite having a worse record.
The A’s are playing a lot better right now and with Anderson on the mound, they are going to be tough to beat. Oakland wins on the road but first read about sportsbook promo codes.
