The Thunder were able to defeat the Rockets in Game 3 in Houston without Russell Westbrook and look to sweep the Rockets in Game 4 on Monday. Find NBA playoff odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Thunder (3-0) needed a lot more from other people with Russell Westbrook not being able to play because of his torn meniscus. Kevin Durant played 47 minutes and scored a massive 41 much-needed points in order to push his team past the Rockets in Game 3 to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. Along with those 41 points, Durant had 14 rebounds to lead all players. Reggie Jackson stepped into the starting role for Westbrook and played 25 minutes. He scored 14 points and made some clutch free throws at the end of the game to help seal the victory. Jackson was 6 for 6 from the line. Serge Ibaka scored 17 points along with 11 rebounds. Seven of those rebounds came on the offensive end.
The Rockets (0-3) now will need four victories in a row in order to advance out of this first round. James Harden is doing almost all he can to avoid elimination but he is going to need some help on the offensive end. Harden went for 30 again in Game 3 and added eight rebounds and six assists to that. Chandler Parsons scored 21 and was 8 for 12 from the field.
The Thunder covered two out of the three games thus far.
I do think that the Rockets will get one game. I don’t see them getting swept but the series will not last longer than five games at www.sportsbookroom.com.
