In what looked like the national title game only a month ago, #4 Oregon (11-1) takes on #5 Kansas State (11-1) in the Fiesta Bowl Thursday at 8:30ET. College football odds are found at Bovada sportsbook.
Oregon’s sole loss was a 17-14 loss to eventual Rose Bowl and Pac-12 champion Stanford. Other than that slip up, the Ducks routinely scored over 40 points per game, en route to an 11-1 SU and 7-5 ATS mark for the season. They finished the year on a 6-1 stretch against the spread, with their only loss being the Stanford game.
Kansas State caught everyone off guard during the early part of the season and continued to throttle opponents until being handed a 28 point loss at Baylor. For the year, they were 11-1 SU, but more impressively 9-2-1 ATS. There only losses against the number were the Baylor game, and an early season game against North Texas when they were laying 27. Like Oregon, the Wildcats have had no problem scoring, putting up 55 against West Virginia and Texas Tech, as well as 44 against Oklahoma St and 42 against Texas.
Oregon is an 8 point favorite. Kansas State sees offenses like Oregon’s all of the time, but without the speed. Oregon shouldn’t be able to stop Kansas State’s offense, so figure this one to be tight and high scoring. Take Kansas State +8 at the sports book.
