The Clippers are still playing for seeding when they host the Portland Trail Blazers in the Staples Center. NBA odds are updated at Bovada sportsbook.
Portland (33-47) has, without a doubt, a bright future with this bunch of players, but that has no affect on this season. They are 14 games under .500 and over 10 games out of the playoff hunt; they have been long since eliminated from contention. The Blazers are an horrific 11-29 on the road this season. The Trail Blazers have been absolutely awful lately and hold the longest current streak in the NBA. Unfortunately for Portland, its an 11 game losing streak. The Trail Blazers have not won a game since beating the Atlanta Hawks on March 22.
The Clippers (54-26) went through a real tough stretch and dropped down to fifth place in the Western Conference but now have won five games in a row. LA is 31-9 playing in the Staples Center. In the post season, the Clippers could be a real tough team to beat. They trail the Denver Nuggets by one game for third and are tied with the Grizzlies for fourth. If they finish in fourth or fifth, the Clippers will most likely play the Grizzlies and then possibly the 1-seed in the next round. LA could definitely give the Spurs all they can handle.
Portland is 35-42-3 against the spread and the Clips are 44-36 ATS.
The Clippers are a lot better and playing for something. No question here, Clippers take care of business and win at home but first read sportsbook reviews.
