The Jazz sit right now as the 7th seed in the Western Conference playoff picture. They are returning home after playing 7 of the last 11 away from Salt Lake City. They are currently riding a seven game win streak at home.
Although the Kings shot a season’s best 54.7% from the field on Wednesday night, they still found a way to lose at home to the Spurs by a score of 122-117. The Spurs also shot a high percentage in the game and it was enough to narrowly defeat the Kings.
Sacramento’s rookie point guard Isaiah Thomas had a monster game which featured 28 points and 10 assists. Since Thomas has entered the starting lineup on February 17th he has been solid averaging 14.8 points per game and 5.3 assists per game as well.
In the last meeting between these teams back on January 28th the Jazz beat the Kings 96-93. The other Sacramento rookie guard Jimmer Fredette came up short at the end when he airballed a three pointer with 6 seconds left that had the potential to give the Kings the lead.
In the last three meetings between these teams, two of those games have been very close. We expect the final in this one to be another close one. Even more so the Kings have been playing dreadful defense lately and if you combine that with the fact that the Jazz have been red hot at home we like for there to be a lot of points scored tonight. These are the reasons why we lean towards the over in this one more than anything else.
The Kings are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. the Northwest Division. The over is 20-8 in Sacramento’s last 28 games overall as well.
The Jazz have been stellar ATS at home lately as well with a record of 6-1 in their last 7. The Jazz are also 4-0 ATS in their last 4 overall vs. the Western Conference.
Head to head the under has come in in all four of the previous meeting. The Kings are also 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in Utah. Overall the Kings are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 games so bet Sacramento at online sportsbooks.
