Two teams with playoff aspirations will square of tonight in Denver as the Denver Nuggets welcome the Phoenix Suns to town. For current odds and trends for this matchup please go to Oddsmaker sportsbook.
Head to head wise the Suns are 0-3-1 ATS in the last 4 contests and are a dreadful 2-7-1 ATS in the last 10 in Denver. The home team in this series is a hard to ignore 19-7-1 ATS in the last 27 and the under is actually 7-3 in the last 10 as well. In the last 19 games as a favorite overall the under is 13-6 in the last 19. The under is also a trending 17-8 in the Suns last 25 road games.
Denver currently sits in the last playoff spot in the West, but the Suns sit only one game behind them. So, it goes without saying the importance that this game has on the playoff picture. The Nuggets will be returning home after a 4-3 road trip while the Suns are riding two straight road wins coming into tonight with recent wins over the Kings and the Jazz.
It was hard for us to pick a conventional spread winner in this one, but we like the under. These teams traditionally have potent offenses, but not so much this year. Phoenix is only averaging a shade over 97 points this season and the Nuggets are really banged up with injuries right now which will affect their offensive output.
While both teams are capable of going over the number tonight we just do not see it happening for the reasons we outlined above. Couple all of that with the fact that Denver is returning home from a long road trip and we love the under in this one to bet at the sports book.
