The Providence Friars (17-13, 9-9) is one of the hottest teams heading into the Big East tournament after winning seven of their last nine with the only losses coming against Syracuse and UCONN on the road. Providence fell to UCONN twice this season and both were in overtime fashion. The Friars, in early February beat Cincinnati 54-50 on their home floor. Bryce Cotton leads Providence and is 20th in the nation in scoring while averaging about 20 points per game.

Cincinnati (21-10, 9-9) is led by two elder statesmen in junior Sean Kilpatrick and senior Cashemere Wright. After starting 16-3, the Bearcats have finished the season just 5-7. Their losses, however, were against stout competition in Pittsburgh, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Louisville and Connecticut in overtime. Cincinnati is looking at a bubble at-large bid right now but need to win a game or two in the conference tournament to ensure their spot.

Providence has been hot to end the season but really hasn’t beaten many quality squads. Cincy has shown the ability to play with top teams with wins over Pitt and Marquette and need these wins badly for the right to keep playing. To take the Friars Click Here.
