The Spurs (3-0) are seemingly on cruise control with the destination being the NBA Finals. For the second game in a row, Game 3 of this series went to overtime in Memphis and for the second game in a row, the Spurs dominated the extra period. San Antonio won overtime by the score of 18-7 in relatively easy fashion. Tim Duncan is turning back the clocks right now after he scored 24 points, had 10 rebounds and five assists. Tony Parker led the Spurs in scoring with 26.
Memphis (0-3) is up against the wall and the city is still believing. They just cannot get it down when it counts in overtime against the experienced Spurs. Memphis has never been this deep in the playoffs, which could explain why they can’t win close games against the Spurs. Mike Conley scored 20 points to lead Memphis is 47 minutes of playing time.
