The Padres (2-10) have been quite pathetic this season. One of their two wins came against the Dodgers, back when the two teams faced off in their first series. Carlos Quentin will not be in action on Tuesday; he is still serving his eight game suspension from when he attacked Zack Greinke and broke Greinke’s collarbone after he was hit by a pitch. Their other win was on the road in New York against the Mets, 2-1. San Diego has lost five games in a row entering Monday night against the Dodgers. Two of those losses came to LA and the other three were to the hands of the Colorado Rockies.
The Dodgers (7-5) are having a little better of a season when compared to Colorado. However, they are going to suffer because Greinke will be out at least a month with a broken collarbone. LA has only lost two series this season and it was the first and the last one, against the Giants and the Diamondbacks. Adrian Gonzalez is hitting over .400 after playing 12 games. Chris Capuano will start for the Dodgers on Tuesday.
San Diego is 5-7 against the spread and the Dodgers are also 5-7 ATS.
