San Diego (5-10) are having a tough start to the season but have won each of their last three games. The Padres are coming off a three game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers in LA. Those were the first three games after the Zack Greinke and Carlos Quentin incident that broke Greinke’s collarbone and suspended Quentin for eight games. The Padres outscored the Dodgers 22-7 in the three game series. Yonder Alonso is hitting .309 on the season, the best average on the team. Alonso also has two home runs and has driven in eight runs. Clayton Richard will start for the Padres on Saturday. Richard is 0-1 in his three starts.
The Giants (9-7) are playing decent to start the season but they were just swept by the Brewers in Milwaukee in three games. Brandon Crawford is hitting .352 and Angel Pagan is hitting .311, the two best betting averages on the team. Tim Lincecum is 1-0 in his three starts on the season. The Giants have won all three of the games that he started but he only earned the win in one of those games.
The Padres are 8-7 against the spread heading in to Friday while the Giants are 7-9 ATS.
The Giants have yet to lose when Lincecum pitches and I think the stat will continue on Saturday. Plus, the Padres streak will have to end soon to take the Giants Click Here.
